motor mount bolt tightening

So can anyone summarize the procedure for using the honda tool to mount the motor? Does it just snug the motor in & then you tighten the bolts?
(I mean the castle nut tool)

In brief, there are two Honda lock nut wrenches. One is used on the lock nuts for the front and centre adjusting bolts and the other is used on the lock nut for the rear adjusting bolt.
With the motor in the frame supported by a jack, tighten the right centre mounting bolt. This pulls the motor against the right side of the frame. All of the adjusting bolts are on the left side of the frame. The basic idea is to screw in the adjusting bolts so that there is no clearance between the engine, the collar between the engine and the frame and the adjusting bolt. You can see the left side of the frame flex out if you screw in the adjuster bolts too far and the left side of the frame will be pulled in toward the motor if any clearance remains. Both situations are undesirable. The lock nuts are tightened on the adjusting bolts so that the adjusting bolts don't move when the engine hanger bolts are tightened. The idea is to ensure that the engine is held tightly in an undistorted frame.

Yes, comedo, exactly what I needed. Thanks. Back to back race weekends and over 1000 miles of traveling to get to them delayed the work but it starts again tomorrow.

+1, exactly the info I needed too.

I just pulled my frame off my motor to swap frames, and need to switch some mounting adjusters/castle nuts that weren't on the other frame. We were somehow able to get the frame off the motor without loosening any frame holders.

I've been looking around at how people make tools for the castle nuts, i'm about to find a socket to start grinding on.
