low rpm chugging

i have searched the forum and i have not found this question yet. when i ride off from a dead stop or if i am running at very low rpm (2500-3000rpm) the bike makes a sound that increases in frequency with engine speed. it sounds like chug chug chug chug chug chugchugchugchugchug and then goes away. it sounds like it is comming from right inbetween my feet but i can be sure as it does not do it at idle and i can hear it unless i am on the bike. i have never had this problem with any other bike. do i just need to clutch up a bit on starts or what?

You may be truly lugging it off the line and the engine needs more rpm. Easy to check/verify. Another thought; a stiff section of chain.

never thought of the stiff section. as far as lugging i considered it but i do not take off any differently than i usually do and it hasent been doing it in the past so i don't think thats it.
