jetting and the bafflectomy

just checkin to see what the rest of you that have performed a bafflectomy are running in your carbs. i have 175/178 main jets, 45 slow jets and my needle on the second groove from the top. anybody had any better luck with other settings and jets?

hmm, bought mine already bafflectomized, took one of the baffles out. i'm pretty sure it's still running on stock jetting. no probs whatsoever! sounds sweet, still get compliments. just saw a vtr with two bro's and a 51 with jardines last night. they both sounded nice, but so did my bafflectomized pipes.

yeah... i must say, i am a big fan of the sound you get with a bafflectomy. my bike is also running pretty damn good right now. she could use a bit more bottom and mid... i was thinking of raising the slow jet one size and raising the needle a notch.

Right now I have the factory jet kit on my superhawk. I really need to tune her again because im just not satisfied yet. When cold it missfires but when warm it runs like no other! I want to find the mid range for her without compromising performance.

Re: jetting and the bafflectomy

So whats up with the website not showing the signatures?

Anyways my setup is:
#175fr/#178rr. 1110e5-62s-40tv9/3, #50pilot, 23/4 front, 3 rear

K&N, Exhaust Bafflectomy and PAIR disabled

The instructions are telling me that my main jet settings are too small because it pulls good when cold but improves as the engine warms up. Well when cold the bike doesnt wheelie and when its warm it pulls it up with no problem

Ok I just rejetted my bike again. Right now I went bigger on my jets and it made a huge change! Damn I cant believe how fast it is now. I went to #178fr/#180r and 2 3/4 turns on fuel screws. Idles great and as massive power in upper rpm band. The mid is still a little weak. I am going to do some more research on that and might change my needles again.
