I know there are tons of threads on oil but I'm thinking about doing this and thought I would run it by you all. I'm looking at going from regular to full Synthetic and using Mobil One 15/50 Full Synthetic. My logic being is that I heard another SH that was running the Full Synthetic and when he shifted to first and second it was a heck of a lot quieter thatn mine. What are your thoughts or opinions on this and would the Mobil One 15/50 Full Synthetic be OK?

Why not use the 10W40 that's recommended by Honda. I don't know where you live but I'm pretty sure the temp service rating will meet your needs.

I'm a big Mobil1 fan. I use it in everything from the lawnmower to the Suburban, including my bike and S2000.

I'm running Motul 10W40 full synth but I may try semi-synth. I've read from several sources that twins may prefer semi-synth to full synth. I don't remember the cited reasons but it may not matter. A lot of it has to do with personal preference and what you 'feel' perfoms better.

The last oil I used was honda semi-synthetic.There was a noticable difference in the shifting, but only for about 500 miles or so.Maybe the full syn. would help a little longer.Thats what I'm trying next.I was also going to use mobil-1.

Thanks guys, I've heard the same about the smoother shifting with the full synthetic, I'll give it a shot and see how it turns out.

FWIW, the M1 15-W50 is some of the best off the shelf oil you can buy. I've been using it since the first oil change and now have 39000 miles.
