Interchangeable engine years?

Hello,
I'm new to the Superhawk world. I've recently acquired a '98 Superhawk and needing to swap out a engine. I've tried to do some digging on this but not had much luck. What years of the Superhawk engines will interchange with each other? Will all the years fit 98'-05'? Thanks!!

All years are interchangeable.
Be careful as there many motors that have had a cam chain tensioner fail. Most of the time they are fixable, but heads, if it needs replacing, especially the front are getting scarce.

as above they all fit but cct fail on the fronts kill a lot of them, the good thing is a rear head can be made to fit and they are cheap to find and easy to fit
