Integrated Tail light

This forum is great. Y'all help me a lot with my questions and have saved me $$ already so thanks. I ordered an integrated LED tailight. It is supposed to be a plug and play easy swap. Will I have any problems with the current turn signal relays or should they work with this mod?

you will need resistors when using led's or they will flash fast. my "clear alternatives" came with everything needed

Resistors? Hmm maybe this is beyond my scope but how hard is it to install these?

it really easy to install. most of the resisters i have seen for bikes have some wire sticking out the ends that you use wire connecters to put it inline with the turn signal wire. if you like the fast flash, dont install them.

Thanks for the word. I wonder if these can be purchased at advance or some place like that. Guess I will just have to see. So long as it is an obvious blink and not too close to looking like its on all of the time, I may leave it alone. Either way it is gonna look sweet with the led and smoke lens

Yea diode's will stop back feed but you still have to install some resistors to up the load in the flasher to slow the flash. Really depends on what tail light kit he ordered some have "Resitor Load" built into them so you only need the diode's. will just have to wait and see what he gets.

i gotta get rid of my ugly as* stock turn signals come to think of it.....

If your buying a Clear Alternatives tail light assy, it comes with the resisters.
I installed one on my SH. It was very easy.

It's a resister, not a diode.

im a bit late to this post but if yur still needing help you can get a digital blinker relay off ebay for little to nothing. clips in where the stock blinker relay was and makes it so u can run all the leds u want and they blink the normal speed, plus it doesnt make the load clicky noise.

and it was prolly mentioned but a trailer light integrator makes a great blinker integrator for motorcycle tail lights.

Mine came with the two resistors, it doesn't flash fast, but I left my two small aftermarket turn signals hooked up as well. My situation is that eveything lights up but when I apply the front or rear brake I get nothing. If you put the stock bulb in it works
