Ignition Advancer

Just dyno'd yesterday with the new build (100.2/ 75.9) and am looking to increase top end. I think the primary reason I'm low on HP is my jetting (pig rich, 10.0, except for a strange spike to 14 from 5200 to 5400) which is a relatively easy fix (though I'll miss the 3-foot flames on decel), but I wanted to get an advancer to help a little on top. With that kind of torque I would think this thing should be in the 115 - 120 range peak.

Anyone know if I can run the +4 advancer with 11.5:1 pistons on pump gas (93)? I'm sure I could get away with it with some C12, but as a daily bike that's not realistic and I don't want to trial-and-error it. Detonation is ugly. Also, anyone know of colder plugs for the SH?

Re: Ignition Advancer

My info from Factory Pro on this is "No".

In my case my comp ratio is 10:1 and they recommended 2 degrees for my engine. I decided not to bother. By increasing your compression you are achieveing the result that the ignition advance would give anyway, and more.

Save your money in my opinion.
