New to me 02 SH with 3K (1K are mine) miles. Yesterday I noticed the idle seemed a little high and today it is consistantly idling at 2000 rpm.

Prior to this I had a nice steady 1200 rpm idle. I didn't touch anything, I swear.

Any ideas? TIA

 

I had the same problem when I first got my Superhawk, Ironically, it was on the drive home when I picked it up. There is a black colored, asterisk shaped thumbscrew on the right side just below the gas tank. the screw goes up. This will adjust your idle speed. It is also shown in your owners manual.
