Question Fuel tank question

Hi
Well I am a new owner and my bike did not come with a manual. I was just wondering if the tank was set-up with a reserve that you flip a petcock with in case you ran low, or out of fuel. My older bikes had this feature, maybe the new ones don't. Thanks

Nope, most newer bikes don't. The superhawk has a reserve light on the dash aka RLOD. You'll eventually learn what that means.

My light doesn't work. I jumped the connector and it lights, so it's the sender and I haven't gotten around to pulling it out to see if I can repair it. It's not so bad just using the tripmeter.

BTW, on the sidestand I can only put 3.8 gallons in after it's run completely out. I have to hold it level to get the next .4 gal. in there. I've been getting about 40 mpg. but I'm geared down 5% so that makes it actually 38 mpg. I feel good about that. I use the torque and don't keep it revved all the time.

They're all orange. RLOD just flows better than OLOD so I guess we all went with it and it stuck.
