front tire size

Hey, I am in need of a front tire. rear is nearly new front is thrashed. My local yamaha dealer has a metzler sportec in 120/60/17. It was ordered incorrectly and they are willing to sell it to me for $59.00 , retail is $148.

I currently have a 120/70/17. This should make the tire slightly smaller in diameter with a shorter sidewall.

Can anyone give me a reason not to buy this tire?? Will there be any adverse results from using a slightly shorter tire?

Most people prefer the 120/70. The shorter tire will quicken steering and perhaps give less feedback, but it will work just fine and you can make some chassis adjustments to compensate for the quicker steering.
