Stebbdt, since you revived it for info, i'll point you back to another thread where you got some of the info.

Obviously, the RC wheel and rotors are the easy choice. A 1000RR rim should fit, not sure of the diameter for the rotors.

I believe you can use a 929/954 front rim with rc51 rotors, but I'd suggest doing a little bit more research.

The 929/954 front rim is a 3 spoke, but they are straight spokes, so it still doesn't match the rear.

That is why I went with a CBR1000RR front wheel on my 954 forks.

That is really picky. I think the wheel is close enough and the rotors cover up the spokes anyway.

Perhaps, but I had the choice of either from the guy who sold me the front end since he was upgrading his 954 to 1000RR forks. No cost difference for me, and a better match for both of us if he kept his 954 wheel.

Yep, sure did. I was going for a particular look with my bike. No offense to anyone else, but I think a VTR with RC51 forks looks like.... well..... a VTR with RC51 forks. I wanted my bike to look like it was meant to have those parts from the factory. That's why I wanted to keep the front wheel. Besides the carbon fiber front fender it turned out exactly as I wanted. If easy/cheap/etc was what I was after I would have bought a CBR954 complete front end and been done with it.

Thanks Jamie, So.. Maybe I can persuade one of y'all that has a 929/954 or rc51 front wheel to grab a dial caliper and take an outside to outside measurement of the front disc's?
The stock one on my hawk is 5.312", My rotors are 0.177" so Center to center 5.135", I can probably shim the calipers each side if it's not some crazy amount.
