Engine quiets when warm

type o meant engin QUITS when warm!
not sure what's going on now.. timing was out, it's fixed.. it was smoking.. it's fixed.. started it up.. running beautifully then right about 70° it stalled.. started ruff.. back fired and quite.. tried to rev it.. it reluctantly revved and quite again.. Netural light won't stay lit, clutch does nothing.. this bike it new to me.. so I don't know what is "Normal"

any one know of anything that may cause trouble when a motor warms.. electrical?

i know when warming up the bike,if you have the choke open,it will eventually want to die.
besides that,im not sure.

no chock was turned off long before that.. I had to play with the chock to get it to fire again.. One buddies suggestion was I have a cracked head leaking antifreeze (water in my case) into the cyclinder.. I don't know...

Explain further "clutch does nothing" Clutch isn't working?

How does your R/R look? Neutral light going out seems to indicate electrical...

Could be that the choke is broken open...

my bad.. it's been so frustrating I'm forgetting little things.. the starter would not work with the clutch in.. but the stand was down! doh!! so that should solve that.. the nutral light / switch is having issues.. if I can get some contact cleaner I will try that first.. I'm not putting more money into this project until I'm 100% sure I will have a bike to ride in the end..

Have you got Manual CCT's?

I had problems with engine stopping after I installed the manual CCT's as they were set to tight, so at idle it would cut out and the starter would labour as if the battery was flat, I would have to wait till the engine was cool to start it again.

FOUND IT!!
the issue was a neutral switch, when it gets hot it stops working.. no issues if your riding as the stand is up.. but with the stand down and the bike thinks it`s not in neutral - spark turns off! of course intermittent means spark is off/on/off/on/off/off/on! and BANG BANG, BANG.. As it backfires and quits and the plug comes out wet with gas! Grounded the wire neutral switch wire to the frame and engin ran perfectly.
