Electrical help PLEASE?
Brought the bike home yesterday.
PO told me that the battery had died, he had ridden it in over 2 months. NO tender on the battery either.
Jumped the battery to start the bike.
Had to do the same when I got it home.
i thought that taking it for a ride might get the battery going again.
I was wrong. Everything else worked appropriately when the bike was running. This leads me to believe that the stator is fine. Push starting the bike would get it going again, also.
Just want to confirm that it's the battery that is giving me trouble and not something else.

Dounds like the battery, but to be sure, start by downloading the service manual (linked in knowledgebase) and going through the checklist in section 16 that should tell you if your bike is charging correctly, and if the stator and R/R is OK...
