Electrical gremlin

So I was on my hawk yesterday and I forgot to put my kickstand up when I put it in gear. I know, dumb newbie move but I live in Kansas and the weather has been crap for 5 months and yesterday was my first day back on it. Anyways, it killed the bike completely no dash lights no, nothing! I had to unhook the battery for about 20-30 seconds and now it starts. Anybody have any suggestions as to what went wrong?

Done that before. Never caused a problem other than lower self esteem. Electricity is some weird **** sometimes! I'm always pleased when the problem goes away.

Wait I think it happen to me before.. Very early symptom of R/R. You replace your R/R yet? When I did that I have to waited for 30 min to an hour for my bike to start back up. Then of course it fried the R/R couple months down the road

Where at in Kansas are you located? I haven't replaced my R/R yet. I've been having battery charging issues so that would make sense.

suggest you load test the battery after it's charged, then the charging voltage when it's running again.

So, was Dorothy any different when she and Toto got back?
