Do I need a new chain for a 45t sprocket

Will I need a longer chain to run a 45t sprocket with my otherwise stock low mileage 530 setup?

I think so. I think a stock chain is good up to +2 on the back and that's what I have. For +4 you need 2 more links I think. Unless you go down up front.

That's true. For some reason I was remembering stock as a 44.

Darn it!

I think I'll hold off because I think I might want a 520 setup in the future anyway.
