Coil on cap questions

So before I dig into this mod, does anyone know off the top of their head the minmum stuff you have to remove to do it? I see the rear coil is on the subframe and front is in frame spar. I figure lift tank but front fairing too?

Any insight would help me out, thanks.

Just think of what stuff you need to move to change the spark plugs. However, I did mine when the engine was out of the frame, so I'm just shootin' from the hip here.

For ease of work and less chance of scratching the fairing, you are better off removing left side fairing.
I did this mod last winter while the whole fairing was off. I could see it was simpler this way.

Jack what about the tail & tank. What do think the minimum is? Airbox or no?

I must have small hands, all I did was lift the tank and pull the seat off. Rest was a little fiddly but got there. Took about 2 beers.

Joe, don't worry about airbox. Tank is a must. No choice.

As I said, if you don't want to sctratch anything, and, make it it easier on yourself, then it's preferable to remove side fairing.
To me, this is a no brainer. About 5 minutes of work off/on, and you have space and much less risk of sctraching your fairings. IMHO. :O)
