what do I do? I haven't been able to find a post about it and mom not too sure how to fix it. I was hand turning the engine and never turned it on. But it clicked once I started to turn it.

Excuse me in case I'm as a rule thick however most likely, if the front chamber is at TDC on the pressure stroke the CCT can be taken out without influencing the tooth file. The chain will remain on the sprockets and not slip any teeth. I don't know that would be the situation on the back chamber as it's more upstanding and the chain may miss the lower sprocket.

Seems the problem that some have is not having the cylinder at TDC of the power stroke. Even then there is a possibility of pressure from the valve springs rotating the cam, though unlikely. That is the reason for zip ties on the cam sprockets.
Not knowing where things are at, pulling the valve covers off for a look would be prudent.
