You need 2 and I'd get these if I were you: CBR ZONE

You may find them cheaper somewhere else but definately get APE Manual Tensioners & gaskets...

6 hours seems long to me cuz I'm just a shadetree mechanic and can do them in 1/2 that time as long as you're not serving me good beer

I'd say the official time for a trained mechanic would probably be 2 hours... A normal trained ape, ie me, does it in 2-3 hours... So 6 hours seems a bit over the top...

Those times sound just about right.

Took me a good 6 hours...but I'm slow and I took the tank/airbox off. Also took the opportunity to check valves and replace plugs. Might look into PAIR removal while you're at it

You need two and I can do two for just over the cost of one of those other ones, including the gaskets. Feel free to PM or email me for more information.

Just started doing them at the request of a member here. Four sets for VTRs out there right now, a little over 200 for Kawasakis at this point - and going strong. Lots of feedback from the Kaw riders, nothing yet from the VTR guys, but I have full confidence. They both do the same thing.
