I know its 18mm but I cannot buy a thin walled one here. So will have to get a standard one turned down. So what does the OD of the socket need to be?

Are you missing the spark plug socket from the tool kit that comes with the bike? That's what I had to use to do my plugs.

With all the 'Hawks parted out here there must be dozens laying around in forum members sheds and garages. Probably Captain Chaos is sitting on a half dozen himself. Ask to have one tied to the foot of an African or European swallow and fly it over...

Or there's always flea-bay, a 30 millisecond search turned this up, there has to be more.

I had the same problem with my 400ex. I just ground down the outside of the socket to fit. Looks like hell but worked great.

I changed my plugs the other day. I ended up finding a socket at orilleys auto parts that fit perfectly. I'll go measure it in a little bit
