Air Flow Issues
Greetings~
I have taken part in rebuilding my beast as a part time project that has become an obsession. My superhawk has just shy of 60k and i am noticing that my K&N air filters are not lasting as long. Has anyone had any really good luck with any other brands out there?
Thanks

I run a K&N without any problems. I've gone so far as to cut out the plastic piece that is directly in front of the airbox intake snorkel to help bring in fresh air. The only thing I've seen is a little (read two or three small pieces) of rubber from CSS days I've run. Of course, there is always your typical assortment of bugs in there too.
How in the world did you suck in a leaf?

air flow
about a month or so...give or take the amount of hours actually riding. Seems to get worse when i do alot of city riding. No corn fields here....just busy city life.
Did find, however, that i had a decent sized hole on the underside of the air box itself. Seems to be sucking in the flame-retardant underside padding of the gas tank. Just replaced it today so we will see how things go from here.
Thanks for your help
