900rr Rear rim question
What year rear 900rr rims are compatible with our hawks? I am installing a rear PM chicane rimfrom a 900rr off a 1995 and the spacer for the chain side is about 2mm too wide, i have a buddy who is a machinist and can make a new one but I am not sure how much 2mm may/will effect things?

well if the brake caliper is lining up(centered) with the rotor and the rear sprocket is in line with the front sprocket, you should be able to tell easily. If you have a bench grinder, or even sandpaper on a flat surface and a cheap mic, you can easily grind the spacer down to see if you can get it to work. Make sure you allow for the insert if the bearing isn't flush with the wheel surface.

Cant use stock spAcers though as the rim doesn't use the Cush drive . The rotor lined up perfect so my friend made me a spacer that fits the sprocket side but I was not sure if that would take the rim off center

Dunno, even with out using a cush the sprocket carrier should still mount to the hub with a stock profile. If it bolts to the back of a 900rr than it should bolt to the back of a vtr. This one is a head scratcher without seeing the rear with the carrier off

Well im asking this because there are a couple of rear 900rr rims on ebay, but when the guys are selling them with the disc and cush drive, they ask 100$ more.... So I will take your word for it and buy only the rim and use the VTR disc and caliper bracket and hub....lets hope it works!
