Motosport Cooling Vest
Has anyone tried one of these?

Looks like it could be the (ahem) hot setup.

Aerostich rocks!
FWIW, I use a Aerostich Darien jacket in hot weather. see http://www.aerostich.com/ for more info. The jacket is cordura, lined with GoreTex. It is lightweight and waterproof. It also has TONS of pockets, and flaps on the back & under the arms that can be opened for circulation. It also comes with pads in the shoulders & elbows. The pads also create air space between skin & jacket allowing for circulation.
For a more low-tech solution to cooling, fill the Darien jacket pockets up with ice. Because the jacket is GoreTex, the water from melting ice just runs off. As air circulates thru, you get an "air-conditioning" effect. Ice will last longer than a tank of gas, so just fill-er-up with new ice when you stop for fuel.
Works great for me!

Re: Motosport Cooling Vest
I haven't tried that particular vest, but I do own a set of Bohn CoolMax Shirt and pants (longlseeve shirt).
I gotta say, it works WONDERS. You can take the shirt off and soak it in water, wring off the excess, and it keeps you cool for hours. The pants are a tad harder to 'remove', especially when wearing leathers or a 2 peice suit, but they still keep the suit off your body and air flowing to keep you cool.
I've use this outfit with 1 piece leather and with the 2 peice Joe-Rocket Razor suit, and it worked to keep me cool. On REALLY hot days (100+ in willow springs) I had to soak the shirt 3 times throughout the day as it kept drying out in the extreme dry heat, and also had to pour water down the vent holes in the pants, but the coolmax material kept me cool and the Razor suit dry. I wouldn't want to try the "pour water" trick in my 1 peice leather, but I only use that when the temps are below 80.
