Favorite Footgear for Street?

Thinking about getting new boots for warm weather street use only. Anybody got recommendations?

If it matters, I never ride near the limits of what my bike is capable of anymore.

Buy the best protection you can afford. Wear them when ever and where ever you ride.

After 53 years (49 on the street) of riding and racing, I'm a firm believer in AGATT.

5-6 years ago I bought some Icon Tarmac 2 shoes from a local shop that had them on clearance. Usually not my brand or style but they’ve seen about 20-25k miles over 5-6 years and they are in surprisingly good shape. I usually throw them on when I know I’m going to be off the bike walking around a lot. They breathe well and have held up surprisingly well.

I wear Alpinestars. Use them on and off track. They are one of the few mfg that make boots in petite sz 50 EU....and they are good quality, I've tested them on numerous occasions.

Thanks. What particular model do you wear?

OK guys, that’s several recommends for Alpinestar SMX, even if differing models. The consensus is helpful info to me. That’s what I’ll be shopping for.

Kind regards to all who responded with their experience. - Dave

What about something from these https://pandomoto.com/blog/product-b...orcycle-boots/ ? I did get my jacket from them and was thinking of giving it a try for boots.

FWIW I would not use a boot with laces. Years ago, before I had real moto boots I had a couple near tip overs because of laces tangling the foot pegs. Those boot in the link have a storage pocket for the laces. Are you going to tuck them away every time? Did the slipstream work the laces out and you don't know? Just throwing some thoughts out.
