Race Videos - Summit Main WERA V7MW Final round, Championship points battle!
I had my last WERA race of the season last weekend(rescheduled from Oct).
The Mid Atlantic V7MW points battle came down to this race. I was 2 points behind the leader, with the difference from 1st to 2nd being a 3 point spread. I had to take the win in order to get the championship.
Awesome battle, with 13 lead changes in 8 laps. Terrible start (clogged oil line blocking oil to clutch, so dry clutch), but I caught him later that lap and started the battle.

Yes it does! In both classes I run, V7MW and V7HW. I had locked up the heavyweight class a few races ago when the guy I race went down in Pittsburge raceway
Now I can keep #1 on all next year in both classes.
Thanks! The last two seasons I've been through a lot to get here, these wins make it all worth it. Especially after last year, I was doing good, but I went down at Nelson's ledges and broke a scapula which took me out of the points battle.
And with winning I am a lot more excited to get working on next years improvements to the race bike. My current goal is getting it down to 300lbs wet. It can be done.

Now I have a question. You claimed my 97 yzf would meet the v7 requirements but the rulebook says 96 is the cutoff, will that change next year or am I sol?
I wish I could get the cat down to 300 wet hell id be happy for 375
