Indy MotoGP: SPOILER

Great race for Nicky...a podium finish, but boy did the coverage suck, big time.

After 1st commercial break...Pedrosa crashed while we were away.

After 2nd commercial break...Rossi crashed while we were away.

Then we get interviews with NASCAR drivers, lesson on how leathers work and shots of the crowd. Not to mention blank screen for almost a minute 2 times.

But again...Great Race from Nicky and Lorenzo. It was great to see the Chimp and Rossi go down.

If you can live with the European coverage there is ways to watch the eurosport coverage at the time the live coverage ends...

Thanks Tweety, but I imagine you're talking of watching it on the computer. I'd rather watch a larger screen while sitting on my couch.

Speed TV did a decent job on the Qualifying yesterday, but the race coverage was done by Fox Network. As much as some people complain about Speed, they do a decent job of covering the races with minimal commercial time.

Noticeably missing at the end of the race was podium finisher interviews. We finally get a chance to see post race interviews that do not include Rossi and Pedrosa, and they don't show it.

The midget crashed out of the lead and that's all that matters!!

Great to see Nicky on the podium, Dovi made him earn it.

Fox used the SpeedTV broadcast crew (Lee Diffey, Scott Russell, Greg White). I'm guessing they used their camera crew as well.

Yeah, they didn't get the post-race interviews or podium celebration, but after all it was live coverage, so that's to be expected. Good job by Greg White getting the post-race comments from Nicky Hayden. Hard to time that out after a live race broadcast.

Duh. I wasn't thinking about the time it takes to get them to the interview desk. But 5 and 6 commercials during each break and all the side stories while racing was going on was frustrating.

For all the non USA races, Speed channel doesn't do ANY of the motoGP coverage themselves. Eurosport does. If speed actually covered those races themselves it would be as bad or worse than what you saw on Fox.

The Speed channel just basically push the play button to show motoGP coverage. The only hand they have in the broadcast is the annoying **** at the bottom 1/3 of the screen that comes to life and gets louder than the program.

I think I am going to have to get the "Eurosport Player" to watch the motoGP from now on. They wont let you have it if you live in the USA. But I'll find a way.

I missed it, unfortunately. I get a glimpse of the crashes as Speed used them for an intro to the evening roundup show, whatever it's called.

Any chance of it being rebroadcast?

Since Fox bought Speed the coverage has gone down hill; too much Nascar and no WRC.

I've only ever seen Eurosport on youtube, downloaded a lot of races before the clips were pulled. This year they don't even get posted. If any folks have ever covered racing as well as Julian, Toby (or Keith before him) and Mamola, I don't know who that would be.

From what I've read, Julian and Toby aren't even at the track anymore. they're in a remote studio, three day delay, and Randy is gone. Might as well watch NASCAR.

I especially like Rossi's lean angle in that shot.

Eurosport are using Steve Parish/Charlie *** and Susie Perri (y?) (UK commantators)... And apart from Charlie *** who I'd gladly hit over the head with something hard the rest are doing a great job...

Tweety,
Is Charlie *** the Brit with the weird laugh who regularly gets the riders wrong? If so, I'll hold him down for you.

Watching via the web

Here are a couple of sites that I use sometimes to watching live races and qualifying sessions.

www.channelsurfing.net and www.ustream.tv

Some of the times it maybe in German or french but not a real problem to understand as all of the on screen info.

That would be him yeah...

Steve Parish though is doing a good job, and he's actually a nice bloke... Met him a few times, chatting bikes of course...

Hey VTRsurfer,
Its a part of the serial that it creates a suspense so we hungry people see it again end make their TRP on sky.
This all are a part of the game.
If no suspense is there no body like to see it.
So its common man!
But i hope you enjoyed race...
Send me your feedback.
