Nah... I'm more inclined to think his thinking was along the lines of... "Oh ****, this is going to hurt!" when looking up, being launched of the bike and looking straight into a shoulder pad of another rider...

I'd rather plow into another rider going half my speed than directly into the ground which tends to travel at 0 mph. It broke his fall quite well actually!

Yeah, he's actually doing better than all the other Ducati riders apart from Stoner... (including previous Ducati team mates) So give him a few more races and he might actually be challenging for podiums...
