He's actually no stranger to MotoGP. In 1992 he raced for Team Yamaha France, finishing the season in 12th. I remember watching him and his older brother Mario race at regional events here in Ontario in the late '80's.

Yes I remember! That's why I'm so happy he'll get a chance to ride again, after so many years.

Would love to see Him run up front, even for a little while. If He's comfortable on the bike, who knows?

swordfish is an unknown quantity at this point
I hope this gives him a fair shake at success for once in the last decade. I know he used to be king of the roost in ama, but at least for the last couple years its been the matt and ben show. with no hope of him competing for the championship. I love honda of course and I do not like suzuki. but the fact is that you can't win on anything but a suzuki in ama right now. don't dispute it. for the last 6 years suzuki has owned it. so I'm syked to see miguel get a chance to race where maybe he won't be at a disadvantage right out of the gate. then again, there is that damned ducati to worry about now.

Not to mention the fact the Honda hasn't been working that great for a lot of the riders this year. Even Pedrosa was complaining. Who knows, maybe cagey ol' Miguel can show them something!

I would rather see Zemke get the nod to ride the RC212V.... I love Miguel but give the younger guy the shot

I just read on cyclenews.com that motoGP is coming to Indy for a round in Sept of '08. they say they are going to support all 3 classes:motoGP, 250's, and 125's. Gonna be awesome. They said they will make the official anouncement on monday at 3:30pm. I can't wait!

I agree that Zemke is the better cadidate for the GP ride. Miguel has had his time.
