Valentino Rossi broke his leg at Mugello practice
Sounds like it's pretty bad and he'll be out for a while. Of course the 2010 championship is gone for him.
In the short term, it'll be interesting to see the repercussion on the riders' market for 2011. Will Yamaha now be even more thinking about retaining Jorge as their better prospect going forward? Should be interesting.
Longer term, how will Rossi react to this? Mentally as much as physically. This is his first major injury (I believe) and it comes after he has accomplished an enormous amount in road racing. And he is getting up there in age. Will he still have the drive? He still has to beat Ago's overall wins record. Will that be motivating enough?

Just saw that, hope he gets better quickly but it's sounding like it is worse then first thought. He'll be back, hopefully soon as it won't be fun watching Jorge check out mid race when my man Pedrosa does his usual mid-race slide from first to fourth
Valentino had very recently commented on potential drivers for Ferarri's F1 team and mentioned he should be in the third car. Being Rossi, not sure how serious he was being, but it has come up an awful lot... Definately safer then MotoGP if he want to ease up a little on the life-and-limb risking
