Suzuki Recursion Concept

Thought you guys would like this. I'm obviously a MUCH bigger fan of a V-twin than a parallel twin but it IS turbocharged. And it looks pretty darn cool, sorta like Suzuki's version of the Honda NAS.

It doesn't do much for me. First order of business would be to up the boost. That is decent output for under 600cc's though. Maybe it's the 3 spoke wheels, I hate 'em.

I like the look of the bike. It's not as Sci-fi as most new sportbikes and you can still see the engine.

I hate parallel twins.. my 82 650 special II yamaha used to vibrate my kidneys out at anything above 45mph. Spoiled my taste for them. I'd take a little honda 350 twin or something.. And of course Yamaha bringing back a 650 parallel twin in europe with the new MT-07 made me shudder.. too bad because it really is a pretty bike.. if it were a V-twin I might be all over it.

I dare say you can`t compare the MT-07 to your old XS. The MT uses a 270-degree crank phasing, giving it the same firing sequence (and sound) as a 90-degree Vee. It also has a balancer shaft. The XS was a virtual copy of the Brit twins of the era (which had 360-degree cranks, the perfect recipe for shaking profusely)......

Loved my XS-1, looked forward to replacing the tach & speedo light bulbs once a month...

I dug the old XS650's, I was working in a Honda/Yamaha Dealership in the early 70's and while I bought an I4 those damn 650's were fun to ride and slide!
