New Buell...1125R....what do you think?

I like the 1125R as well as the Firebolt. If they could just get their damn fuel mapping down they would have a great bike.

Since my first post in this thread 7 months ago, I've been lurking on the 1125r board and compared to what I'm used to seeing on Honda boards I'm bummed. Lets just say that my balloon may not be popped but it has greatly deflated.

Even the mighty SuperHawk had some teething issues back in the day with some folks even suggesting a class action lawsuit over the "horrible" weep hole dribble issue. Gawd how that seems so minor now but I digress. Reports of fuel boiling (it's in the frame wrapped around the motor), hot running, mysterious dead electrical systems, bad batteries, poor EFI mapping, etc but the thing that really scares me is all the remarks about HD dealers who could give a rat's *** about Buells. My local dealer still has their first one and it's still in the back corner of the showroom floor (I wrote down the VIN back in Dec).

Yup the HD dealers around here are the same way. They could care less about their red-headed stepchild, Buell.

They do look cool though IMO

Almost got a new one last fall...but opted for my VTR instead, scared off by thoughts of after sales servicing and resale values down the line.

Glad I bought the VTR - and I kept my Buell Lightning...

i read in cycle world that buell was done.. no more there crushing all the new bikes.. they were going to make a new bike called the barracuda 2. the mag said it was the first REAL sport bike they ever made. super clean looking too kinda like a r1. http://hellforleathermagazine.com/20...t-could-h.html i might start a new thread on this..
