I caught a glimpse of a new Norton

I would love to have this beast, thought I would shareit, not a common bike anymore.

I think I've seen that bike in a zine within the last year - like a one-off bike or something. While I agree that it looks great, I think the producers would have a hard go of it considering the current economy and the lack of Norton infrastructure.

What happened to the Norton rotary bike that was rumored about years ago?

I believe Norton's are currently in production in England as we speak but in a low volume format. I do know they bought up all of the old style (not USD) Ohlins road and track forks for production and I beleive they come fitted with Brembo brakes.

As for the Norton rotary, was done about 35 years ago and faded into obscurity

Hmmm, yeah, I thought it was more recent but I can't find a trace of it.

You are right, looks like they'll be at Isle of Man this year.

Yeah. More like 20 years ago.

Here's a vid of Trevor Nation and his Norton Rotary beating the **** out of guys on RG500 Suzukis etc. Guys like Jamie Whitham, Carl Fogarty etc.

No doubt that wankel was going to rule the world ...
***** **** and their lobbying efforts to ban it from racing killed it.
If you invent a bike that gets 110 mpg, they will write laws to ban it...
