looks fine to me. there really should be more than bandit, busa, and beamers for us sport touring fans. in a few years ill be in the market for a new bike and would love to buy another honda. but right at the moment honda doesnt have anything that fits my wants and needs. never the less my next bike will be new off the showroom floor.so if honda wants my money they need to build somthing more in line with the suzuki hayabusa and the kawasaki z1400 while being super comfy. my 2 cents

Yup! I'd buy one! That's a great looking bike. Nice to think that Honda is even toying with the idea is encouraging to me. Our bikes need to be retooled and re-intoduced. Honda let the the VTR and VFR tank because they were obsolete. They threw all their money at the racing circuits with the CBR1Krr and it was nothing more than a modest failure.
Brands - whether Nascar or AMA have become overly self-important. The problems with brands is exactly what's happening with Honda and Chevy. They thought racing would sell cars, inspire the technicians, and create interest in the brand.
It works backwards from that in the real world. I don't own a race bike. I buy street bikes. When a company builds a superior product it has to "be there" in all the categories including reliability and longevity. Honda and Yamaha own the waterfront on this beach.
Yamaha has buried Honda on the racetrack because they had such a hugely successful street bike in the R-1 they actually had money to spend on racing.
A successful lauch of a v4 against the I4 R-1 could be an interesting marketing move. I hope they do it and really have the machines to pull it off.

The rendering looks nice enough but its got to be MCN photoshop fantasy art. I'll bet the in action pics are close to the real bodywork.
How about the guy in the first action pic wearing aqua socks to ride in
Is that offical honda test gear?

MCN is famous for their photo shopped bullshit. I've been hoping, and would be willing to pay for, a 1000cc VFR Interceptor. Chain drive, lose the V-Tec gimmick, bring back the gear driven cams, 120--125 rwhp on top with VTR style grunt down low and midrange. Keep the wet weight close to 500 lbs.
Honda would sell those by the container ship load.
If MCN is right (don't bet on it), this is a slightly (just barely) sportier version of the ST1300. Yawn.

The bike in that link is FUGLY!!
Honda seems to think on the wrong track; instead of thinking V4, maybe they should think V-Twin, since the RC51 and Superhawk were the last two V-Twin sportbikes they came out with...
