STOLEN ***2000 Honda VTR1000 Super Hawk and 2005 Honda CBR600RR***
Evening everyone. I have not posted here in a while but wanted to pass along some info. My neighbor and I both had bike stolen last weekend in Kennesaw GA. I had my 2000 SH taken and his 600RR was also taken the same night. We parked together, they got us both at the same time.
Here is the link to the photos of my bike in the album I have here:https://www.superhawkforum.com/forum...pictureid=1460
If any of you guys are in the SE of the US then keep an eye out. I have a WVU tank protector on my bike but other than that it is bone stock.
The other bike is a 2005 CBR600RR black with gray tribal and road rash down the right side.
Any info please email me at jknightcfi@yahoo.com
My bike was insured but my buddies was not. I am really trying to spread the word more for him.
Thanks!

Same thing happened to me a couple of years ago. My friend and I rode are bikes to work and when we were ready to leave my 600rr and his gsxr600 were gone. They actually caught the guy because he was riding the gsxr with a fake plate made out of a cereal box. The idiot crashed it trying to run from the cops. Got what he deserved. They never found my bike though.
I hope they catch the thief.

Yes, we believe they were staked out. They were parked together sharing a spot with bar locks on. Unfortunately I had just lost my rotor lock a few weeks prior when riding up in OH and WV. (fell off somewhere??) Covers were off of both bikes.
They have been parked in the same spot for the last year and a half without issue. It turns out there is a group of guys in our complex that now thinks it is a sport to see how many B&E's and thefts they can pull off. We have leads, but nothing solid.

that is terrible news. Be sure to check the local craigslists. tempting to put another cheap bike out there with a gps locator on it.
If there is any silver lining, at least somebody still finds our superhawks desirable beside us?

OK so just a tip to everyone. The #1 form of security is a cover. Thieves must see a beautiful bike to want it. #2 is worst case, THROW A CHEAP PADLOCK IN THE DISC NEAR THE CALIPER. They are $2 but can save your bike (& your heart). If this doesn't wake you up what will. I know because I have had uninsured bikes stolen. Also had them saved by this method

A very old BUMP. I got the call today. They recovered my SH roughly 5 miles from my apt. I got to catch a glimpse of it at the impound lot, they stripped it down street fighter bare and even cut up around the headlight. It looked bad. According to the police report it was called in for parking in a parking lot illegally. No one was arrested, they simply towed the bike and ran the VIN.
The police said they believed it has been laid down so I am hoping whoever has been enjoying my bike the last 12.5 months maybe broke a wrist, arm, or leg when they did lay it down.
Good news: Promotion at work. Moving to SoCal and will be getting another SH soon for my daily commuter. I am really looking forward to getting back on the SH and am currently shopping around trying to find a good one.

Thanks guys. I will be in the Camarillo area. I will be working from the Pt Mugu Naval Air Station. I have been working there for the last 3 years on rotation but now my company offered a lot larger salary package for me to go there full time. I get to finally get off the road and be home more with my family, I can't wait!

You will love riding on the West Coast. There are lots of twisties out there to navigate unlike here in the East where all we do is pop wheelies! lol
