Will a 900rr Oil Cooler work on SH?

Has anyone tried to fit a filter type oil cooler from a 900rr to a SH?

http://fiche.ronayers.com/Index.cfm/...PAN_-_OIL_PUMP

I'm be interested in running one like this along with the OEM SH oil cooler for more cooling, simultaneously...

Thanks,
RC

Interesting idea.... although I have no idea as to whether it would work or not....

seems like it would be one of the easiest mods for extra cooling

Look at an SP-1 cooler. It mounts across the front, like the SuperHawk cooler.

The SP-2 cooler mounts in a near-vertical orientation, on the left side.

Prolly not a straight-forwad bolt-on.

Mine worked with a std cooling setup...
Not that a bigger cooler wouldn't be better, though.

Thorsten made air scoops for SH radiators. You could probably order some - he must have the molds for them. Send a message to Durbahn-USA.com and see.

Just ordered some Carillo rods. They're now a special order part, but cost about the same as always. 4-6 week delivery time. Maybe you can get a set for a VTR(?).

I ordered mine through Dynoman Performance (dotcom). They sell them for quite a bit less than Carillo direct.

I like the RC51 SP1 oil cooler, but one of the ports is 45 degrees and to bolt right up to the SH it needs to be 90...any suggestions to make it work anyway w/o cutting the port off and reattach it at 90?

Also, I've looked into custom lightweight rods along with a lightened crank, but not looking to spend another $2K...yet

I'll try to track down the scoops...Thanks RCVTR!

Cool. They just added those to the USA site. I had seem them on his German site.

I bought the glass scoops. They are ultra light.

Rods were $650. Crank lightening is around $250. I have a spare crank that I'm going to send out at some point. I decided to put the rods on my shefl and get that part over with.

I understand, but deep in the back of your mind just remember that if you ever do sell her to me and kick yourself for doing it then I'd sell her back after a few races
