RCVTR is an unknown quantity at this point
I'm a bit late coming in here and haven't read it all, but the engine's inability to pull air in when the throttle is closed is engine braking. The totla inertia of the motorcycle and rider is what is being braked. The flywheel inertia is smaller with a lighter flywheel and it spins really fast - it's on the fastest shaft. So the change in speed is great. the engine braking is noticably higher with a lightened flywheel.

Not only that, but you guys don't know snow. I often can't see over the snow in my back yard.

Yeah, people in Truckee know snow, so you officially qualify.
I live in SLT and ski at Kirkwood, so people in Truckee got nothing on me!

the northeast definitely has shitty weather and snow, whereas, we have 300 days of blue skies. But when it snows in the Sierra, it comes in massive quantities. Kirkwood has to use snow cats to clear the chair line, so the chairs can operate.
