BTW, the answer is: yes with quite a bit of work, and a few people have fried the newer dash in the process. I don't really think it is worth it as it doesn't change the riding experience one bit.. But if you must, realize you have to modify your wiring harness, and probably change the fuel tank to get a sender that supports the gauge instead of the RLOD.

The only difference aside from configuration is a dual trip meter and a fuel gauge. The extra trip meter is nice to have so that you can record your overall mileage... but the fuel gauge is just depressing .
