VTR 1000F 2000 vs 2001

Hi, this is my first thread, so I apologize if this is already created, i've searched the forum but didn't find so here it goes.

Does anyone knows if we can install a VTR 2001 meter on a VTR 2000

1. Try posting in one thread, not three with the same topic...
2. Try the search engine, or just browse about for a few seconds... It's been answeared several times, the last thread is only a couple of days old...
3. Welcome...

BTW, the answer is: yes with quite a bit of work, and a few people have fried the newer dash in the process. I don't really think it is worth it as it doesn't change the riding experience one bit.. But if you must, realize you have to modify your wiring harness, and probably change the fuel tank to get a sender that supports the gauge instead of the RLOD.

The only difference aside from configuration is a dual trip meter and a fuel gauge. The extra trip meter is nice to have so that you can record your overall mileage... but the fuel gauge is just depressing  .
