I got about a 1 inch hole before it got messed up.

I'll keep you guys up to date on it.

Shut up and get in line - at $125 a set this is the biggest whoopie for the bucks.

You're talking with short run shops. They don't get to make 5 thousand of these. They make twenty! Even when the stacks were made by EVERYBODY they were $250 a set.

This is a no-name, no-brainer best the mod you can do to a fire-breathing monster like a Superhawk. Shame on me.

Dr. Honda, you KNOW that I'm in line for a set!

Rackovanz, you're on the list now.

get on your knees and beg! haha .Seriously, it seems like Dr. H would need to request orders and maybe a down payment to show intention?

I like the begging thing. And, no down payment either.

Once these are done, just say, "I would like a set."

As an FYI and to help Dr. Honda keep track of the number of members wanting the velocity stacks, I created another thread titled "Dr. Honda Velocity Stack Order Thread".

Just reply with the number of pairs of velocity stacks you want. This way nobody has to look through the entire thread to pull out individuals wanting to purchase these.

Sounds good.
Stacks won't be "plug-n-play" because carburation will have to be adjusted. So I'm wondering who is planning to put a Flo-Commander with their stacks, I know I am to at least assist with dialing them in.
Think it is worth trying to put together a group buy along with the stacks? Not sure what the savings would be, perhaps not enough for the hassle...

What?! Do you think I need another set already? I'd say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...

Altough to be honest I actually migth at some point, I have now accumulated parts for almost a complete second bike... Won't be road worthy though, but pure track... Everything that's not neccersary to go fast goes in the parts bin... I wonder if I can break 150 bhp at the wheel and still improve on my current ~400 lbs?

Micky, thanks for helping me avoid this craziness. I remember writing to you in the eleventh hour.

I must admit it`s quite entertaining to be watching from the sidelines.... (although, I must confess to a lingering slightly bitter taste in my mouth in relation to the lack of support, if not outright cynicism, I got the first time around. If all these peole had been on board when I first proposed it, we could have gotten them for well under $100 per set).

Oh well, we have ours and that`s all that matters, right Doug

Enough of your smug peanut gallery comments! I suppose we will hear next that first generation copies are better than second generation.
At least I know MY stacks will have the Tweety seal of approval

Ah yes, Markus (Tweety) is one the privileged few who bought in on the first edition.

All kidding aside, I think it`s great that Dr Honda has taken on this project....

very true, but you have to understand that the info for improvements on a stock bike was very limited. the group that first bought in have commented positively thus putting some of the snake oil fears to rest.

i still am not 100% sold, even though i'll buy a set from dr.honda. i will
add to the story by actually getting back to back dyno runs and post the results.

When this first came up I checked with racers, trackday guys, tuners, other mechanics and enthusiasts. R1's, CBR's of all sizes, Backbirds, Gixxers - even the international forums - everybody reported huge gains at the top of the rpm spectrum. This is when mass produced stacks were still available for their bikes and the going price was $250+.

When Micky and the boys put this together it was a no-brainer at $125-130 and if IIRC that was shipped.

Run your dyno. The popcorn tastes really good from here.
