Two Bros C2 exhaust question

SO I just got this 2000 Superhawk. Dynojet kit, K&N ,opened up airbox. My question is I know the Two Bros is loud, it pops between upshifting. Is there anyway to prevent this. All clamps are tight and sealed where they slip on. Any advice would be great.

Heh, I missed that. Yeah, drilling and cutting the airbox will gain you nothing in power, however will gain you plenty of headaches. Find a used airbox and go back to stock.

Yeah. In the old days, pipes, jet kit, K&N and removing-modding the airbox lid could net you 15% to 20% in horsepower. Those days are over.

Our VTRs just might be the first bike where removing-cutting-drilling the air box lid nets you nothing in peak power and makes tuning for throttle response and drive-ability virtually impossible.

Your bike can be tuned to run fine the way it is now. I have nearly the exact same set-up: de-paired, k&n, Mig pipes, Dynojet kit, front of the airbox lid opened up, and mine runs like a top. Very stong, no popping or backfiring. I don't have all the know-how when it comes to jetting so I had the tech at my Honda shop tune it for me. The guy used to race Ducatis and used to own a Superhawk. It wasn't easy but he finally got it just right. I don't think the airbox is your whole problem, plus with it opened up you get all that great intake noise!

I have a 1998 Superhawk and i have a full Two Brothers Racing Exhaust (High Boys) I have no rear sets and want to put some on. Any links and or info would be helpful. Also added a rear hugger. I will post pics soon.
Thank You
