Subframe mounted exhaust?
Has anyone tried to mount mufflers to the subframe by drilling an hole in the subframe and bolting a drop down bracket to the mufflers? I'm wondering if it will transmit vibration to the subframe and cause problems for the electrical components that are mounted to the subframe.
Opinions? Actual experience?

Your original mufflers are mounted that way... There is just a rubber thingy at the bottom of the footpegs that it mounts to... So there is no reason it won't work... Just use a rubber mount in someway or your *** will buss...
BTW electronics doesn't care about vibrations... Not as long as they are properly mounted and enclosed, and they are in a bike...

Cool! Thanks for the help guys. I am planning on using some modified stock Harley mufflers. I know it sounds weird but I think that it looks really good. I'll post up some pics when I get them on.

OUCH! That would suck! lol I can't see how it would be any different than any aftermarket mufflers but I guess that I really won't know until I get some midpipes made and take her for a ride.
