Steering damper

Hello gang. Bill here from ontario canada. Just curious as to if a 2001 gsxr1000 stock steering damper will be able to fit my 2000 vtr ? Are there universal mounting kits avaible to do this. A buddy gave me steering damper so im not out money if it dosent work and i dont mind spending a bit to make it work. Ill post a pic of it soon any input would be great
Thanks and take care
Bill

Bill, I don't think that damper has enough stroke to be mounted the way the above are. Gixxers have them mounted directly in front of the head, so you'd have to get stupid creative to replicate that.
