I am looking for info about the full system for the VTR and, more specifically, what kind of performance gains I can expect (as well as where in the powerband the gains will occur). I just bought an almost-new full system (standard mount with titanium cans) and am curious as to what to expect. Any dyno evidence would be really appreciated.

thanks in advance

Congrats!!

they build good, well tested exhaust systems. You might be able to get a dyno chart from Akro directly.

I'm betting on 4-5 HP and fatter torque everywhere above about 5500 RPM. You'll have 120+ HP when you are done with the engine. can I ride it?

Thanks

I probably will hold off on the rebuild (ie. JE piston installation) until late Fall (start of winter basically) and ride it the rest of this season with the new velocity stacks and Akra pipes. I figure it should land me somewhere in the area of 116 or so hp (the engine does have over 110,000 km on it after all so the numbers won`t be quite as high as they could be....until next year,.... mwahahahahahahah ).

As far as riding it, of course you can... if you come to Montreal

P.S. I e-mailed the company earlier today for a chart so we`ll see if they reply...

Wise man. 2, no 3 rules for a long and happy life:

1. Never build your engine during riding season.
2. Never finish building your bike, when you are in a hurry to go riding.
3. Never put parts in place with the intention of tightening them later. Finish tightening before doing anything else.

all lessons I have learned well (the hard way).
