PAIR Removal problem

I read through several threads here before I blocked off my PAIR valves (and changed plugs. I don't have the model off hand but they are Iridiums that Advance Auto Parts gave me). I didn't remove everything, I just flipped over the reed plates and flattened them out. Then sealed of the PAIR covers with a cap inside. Leaving all hoses connected.

Now my bike will barely idle and runs like the choke is on, whether it is on or not. It will barely rev. Did I do something wrong with my removal or something wrong on reassembly?

My bike is mainly stock: Micron Pipes, just added stiffer front springs after I blew the fork seals from 10 years of wheelies... That's about it.

Thanks in advance for your help!

John

sounds like you put the vacuum line on the petcock on the wrong nipple, make sure it is connected to the nipple on the back of the petcock not the bottom.

Thanks, I will give that a try!
I don't want to undo what I have started, especially since I flattened the reed stops...

Absolutely right! You are the man!! My superhawk runs perfectly again, without the annoying popping!

Now on to my next quest: check into a good price on a 2007 crf 450 x. Described as "25 hours, no issues, no mods, rode it at that sandy place nearby and on private land"
This is the mother's description, it is her son's bike. He has been deployed in Hawaii for a year and wants his loan payoff value of $4200.

Sound like a good deal?
