Question Muffler Question & Carb Jetting

I'm a new SH owner and love the site. I plan only a few mods for my bike and one of them is a set of after market muffs. Do I need a carb jet change if I do just the mufflers? I read that if you do the K&N it's a must do to keep the bike running correctly. At this stage a probably won't do the K&N till I can find someone to help me and tune it correctly. Thanks

No compelling reason to do the K&N and for most slip on exchanges rejetting is certainly not mandatory.

While I had a gsxr600 that was night and day depending on just a muffler can change, I've tried many different slip ons on my superhawk and currently run a K&N, a tbr header with high mount leos and have never rejetted and the bike runs and has always run like a champ. Could it run a little better and will I eventually have it dyno tuned? Probably. Would I worry if I were you and just want to install a set of slip ons? No.
