Hi there! & TPS & Carb tuning plans

Well. Hi there everyone. Just joined after being a member of the UK site vtr1000.org for a year now. I'm in the UK & looking forward to taking part in your forum.

Now I'm planning to do the TPS mod this weekend (as long as recently ordered torx bits & multimeter arrives!), planning to go for 495ohms?

Also I'm planning to purchase new cans as I've got bafflectomised originals at mo! Plus I'll hopefully get it tuned with either Dynojet or Factory Pro- any one have an opinion on which is best option or/and have advice on some mid range (£$€) end cans?

I'll also look into the factory pro ignition advance rotor- has anybody on here fitted it themselves? If so could somebody describe in broad brush terms how it fits?

Anyway. So many Qs!!??

Griff.

Before you tear into the carbs or order either Dyno Jet or Factory Pro read the carb guide in the Knowledge base by 8541Hawk. You will find that you don't need or even want either of those kits.

Since your in the UK you may have a wider selection of exhaust options than we do in the states. Most US makers only offer low mounts these day with some exceptions "Jardine" and maybe some others whereas in europe I think there are more options.

The +4 advancer works with early model hawks. TPS <500 is good.
