i just threw my cans on a few minutes ago and i love it. of course i had to start the bike without cants on it first, that was definitely pretty cool sounding. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_5922.jpgAttachment 30231Attachment 30232
i kind of like how it looks without the cans, but i probably shouldnt ride it around without them. haha. also, i bought these from forum member oicdn. i definitely recommend him as a seller if anyone is buying anything from him. i realize this video might be lame, but i was bored and made it pretty fast. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3..._Default_0.jpg |
they look good bro... you and I have all of OICDNs exterior. My bike was red, I bought all of his plastic.
Loud without the cans isnt it..lol I did the same thing when I put on my Wileycos :) |
haha, thats pretty funny.
ya, its definitely loud without the cans. i like how it sounds really poppy too. |
they look good on there, but DAMN!!!! that green is LOUD!!!!!:p
|
haha, ya. it stands out a bit. i like it though, i love green. im quite proud to own one of the few green superhawks. though i want to punch every dumbass that asks "hey, is that a ninja?" as if kawasaki owns the color green. morons. haha. oh well.

I'm right there with ya Death Cattle. I can't get enough of the music that emanates from these pipes! Here's my carbons.
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...earquarter.jpg I like 'em so much, we picked up the system for my wife's SV650. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...DSC03526sm.jpg And it's louder than the SH:eek: Check out this sound clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqL9eAHyOQc |
If you got high mount brackets and different mid pipes could you make low mounts into highmounts? They look so much better
|
Hold on, let me get my sunglasses...wow your bike is green!
Jardines rock, I agree!! |

Jardines rock, I agree!! im sure you could get away with different mid pipes and high mount brackets, but you would probably be better off just finding a good deal on some used high mounts instead. yes, i love green. |
I too am a huge fan of the Jardines. Although a few months ago I decided that they were a little too long for my liking. So I got out the hack saw and removed a few inches, 5 1/2 to be exact. Now they look way better (imo) and the sound is extraordinary.
I'm trying to post some pics. It's giving me a hard time. |
oh god please post pictures. if not, email them to me and ill post them for you. i have to see those!
|
Email sent.

and yes, those do look badass. did you get the mid-pipes powdercoated?
|
Just my opinion, but it looks weird and not better to me. The whole bike looks distorted--pinched in the rear and long in the front.
|
i would have to agree, it does make it look a little distorted. i like it though, its more original which gives the bike a unique look.
|
i hacked my remus Ti high mounts 8 or so inches...looks and sounds much better in my opinion.
i'll try to find a pic |
Not powder-coated. I did it the easy way. After wrapping the head pipe I painted the whole works with ceramic header paint. Trying to get a red/black theme going.
|
>Death Cattle
Any chance you've got a sound clip for those pipes? Looks like it would be good and loud. |
i dont, but ill shoot a video sometime soon if you want. maybe tomorrow. maybe even tonight. i dont know. probably tonight, i have nothing else to do.
|
ill post it here when i get it done.
|
i hate all yall, jk i j/ jealous b/c cant afford high mount exhaust, i hate the D&D's that came on bike
|
haha, shit, i got my jardines for 175 bucks. you just have to wait for a good deal. i waited about a year until i found this deal.

no video tonight. gotta charge the camera battery. ill take it tomorrow after work. it will be somewhat dark, but oh well. that doesnt really matter.
|
$175 is dirt cheap! I thought I got a good deal @ 640 new:(

well shit, you did get a good deal. the aluminum cans brand new are 720, so you did pretty well. mine are used and have almost 20,000 miles on them though. still a great deal though. haha.
|
and ill have the video up pretty soon.
|
As for the cut-offs, just wait until you're in your 50's. I've had tinnitus (ringing in the ears) 24/7 for over 8 years now:shock:, I'm 61. 22 years ago when I put a Supertrapp system on my '86 Nighthawk, the tinnitus was only there for about 1/2 hour after a ride.
Just something to think about. By the way, I love the sound of loud exhaust. I just want to retain some hearing for future years. |
