I received some chrome oval Jardine hi mounts - man are they ever gorgeous - and the pipe comes very close to my boot heal.

I know I've seen metal/carbon heat shields that clamp onto the pipe but I can't find em on the net now that I need em.

Any tips?

 

I have a TBR high mount system. The pipes come very close to the boot heal for me as well. Although I'm conscoius not to spend too much time touching the pipe, I havn't noticed any marking or melting thus far.

I say live with it for a while. you might not need anything. Do the mod if you need to later on.

 

I had a problem with melting the plastic on my boots on the Jardine Hi-Mount pipes. Found some shields at Deenis Kirk that work great.
