lock up clutch
I had to look that one up..
It seems like it was a supplemental weight that lockes the plates together and from slipping on bikes that this was a problem with. Never, ever heard of this being a problem on the VTR. I'm under the impression that the 10 plate clutch works pretty well even on fairly built bikes. They seem to be more for drag racing and cars with motorcycle engines from what I can tell
If anything, I'd look into some racing clutch springs from EBC. That seems to be a more reasonable route...

I'm just busting your *****
does your clutch slip? I always hated how if you rev it up some and launch hard the clutch bounces in and out. I know the reviews bitched about this when the bike first came out, but I've never remember hearing of a cure.
Captainchaos you just maid my Knight... :P
Wow that looks a lot dirtier in print then in my head...
Yea I've learned to launch my SH very hard without throwing the front wheel in the air but the front end does tend to bounce a little like the clutch is slipping... but then again my clutch is old so I will report back next season with a review of a performance clutch on a stage 1 motor.

ya its for keeping the clutch from slipping. im building a boosted drag vtr and talking to other boosted vtr guys, the clutch slips a lot. so just wondering if anyone new on a luck up set up that works on the vtr.. like the cbr1000 lock up i heard works.. but if no one knows anything i guess im on my own. thanks
Thanks for the follow up. I was going to ask if you meant something to prevent the clutch lever from being squeezed to prevent theft!
Post some pics of your beast if you can. We'd all like to drool a little!

I have an idea that's goober need a lot of research on your part..
What about I light duty valve spring? It'll be a lot harder then the ones in there and be a pain in the hand to use, you may have to find a bigger piston master cylinder but that should stop some of the slipping...
Just a thought that came to mind, see if anyone else has tried that.
