Increase weight of fork oil?

Increase weight of fork oil?
Can the compression of the stock fork and spring be increased by changing the stock fork oil to a higher weight?

Fork oil will affect compression (and rebound) damping as you describe. It's not a substitute for proper springs and won't affect spring rate.
