Heli-Bars

I bought some Heli-Bars last November and finally got around to installing them yesterday . Of course we all know what they are designed for but there's something else that comes as a side benefit and that is the better manuverability in the parking lot or garage when turning around at dead stop .

These bars also takes all the pressure off the outside palms of the hand and makes riding in town mucho better

Re: Heli-Bars

I just saw this post, hence the late reply.

Just wanted to add that I too have the Helibars and really like the comfort they add to the package, without being too tall to make it feel like a standard bike.

Re: Heli-Bars

I've considered these myself but have never seen them up close. Do they clear the upper fairing completely and still allow a full loct-to-lock swing of the front end? Is it moving the clips up AND back?

Thanks,

(any photo's ?)

marmaladedad is on a distinguished road
I have these on my bike. While they clear the fairings just fine, at full lock to the right, the starter button is pressed against the gas tank. Of course, at this point, my hand is smashed between the tank and clip-on. (full lock to the left is fine)

I have pictures somewhere, but I don't remember where I left them...I'm sure other pictures are out there.

Re: Heli-Bars

heli bars were the best investment I have made for the hawk.

They make a 500 mile day no problem!!!

the bike "seems" to handle better probably due to the better leverage.
if you ever noticed racers use wider handle bars.
I painted mine black to match the the stock ones and they look like oem stuff.

My friend has a vfr and my bars feel similar to his stock ones maybe a little lower.
this is the way the bike should have come from the factory....

and my only gripe is that the brights button gets pressed when i turn hadlebars to full lock right. not really a big deal..

Re: Heli-Bars

How are these bars and the VFR bars for more aggresive riding? Maybe track days? Would you want lower bars for the track?
